Manufacturers THREE Year Warranty and Aftersales Service
Normandy Holiday Homes warranty is available to purchasers of new Holiday Homes manufactured by Normandy Holiday Homes and sited on appropriately licensed Caravan Parks throughout the UK. This is an addition to the purchasers rights and does not affect statutory rights under the Sale of Goods Act. It covers the first THREE years of ownership commencing with the date of the sale and has the following benefits.Year 1
During the first 12 months of ownership the purchaser has a comprehensive warranty which covers the following for example:-- Tyres
- Roof Lights
- Soft Furnishings
- Carpets
- Floor Coverings
- Bedding
- All Appliances, examples Oven, Dishwasher, Fridge etc
- Electrical, gas and water systems
- Every part, component, fixture and fittings not included in the above
During this period Normandy Holiday Homes will make good, repair or replace the defective items without charge to the purchaser.
Years 2 & 3
During the second and third year of ownership, the purchaser has the benefit and security of ownership that Normandy Holiday Homes will guarantee that they will repair or replace any defective part as listed below at no cost to the purchaser. - Chassis- Floors
- Walls
- Roofs
- Windows
- Doors
- Any other structural items not covered above
During this period any faults arising directly as a result in manufacture or structural fault will be rectified by Normandy Holiday Homes.
Specific Exclusions
Year 1
- Paint- Chrome
- Any other metallic finishes
Year 2 & 3
- Tyres- Paint
- Chrome
- Any other metallic finishes
- Roof lights
- Soft Furnishings
- Floor coverings including carpets
- Mirrors
- Work Surfaces
- Electrical appliances
- Electrical, gas and water systems
- All appliances that are fitted as standard equipment are subject to the warranty provided by the appropriate manufacturer
General Exclusions
Defects due to wear and tear or depreciation consistent with the age and usage of the Holiday Home- Any defect attributable to the transport of the Holiday Home from the factory to site or intermediate location or to any subsequent transportation, location or relocation.
- Defects caused by modifications or works carried out after delivery by the owners or others that lead to failure of parts or components are not covered by this warranty
- Any defect caused by a lack of routine maintenance as detailed in Normandy Holiday Homes owners handbook
- Any faults aggravated by any negligence from any other party including the purchaser and park owner.
- Faults attributable to the incidence of insurable events, e.g. fire, storm, tempest, impact, burglary or attempted burglary, aircraft, explosion and other perils or to acts of God, freak weather conditions, malicious damage, war, riot, civil commotion and the like.
- Faults attributable to or consequential upon the failure of site services such as drainage, mains electrical, gas or water supplies.
- Defects due to condensation, damp, mildew, fungus, dry rot, corrosion, leakage or ingress water unless through permanently sealed seams or joints.
- Defects attributable to the siting of the Holiday Home in unsuitable locations, e.g. locations subject to extreme weather conditions without the protection of natural or man made weather breaks, or subject to abnormal snow loading or flooding.
Terms and conditions of the warranty
The following are essential terms relating to this warranty.- Prior to the handover of the Holiday Home to the purchaser the dealer/supplier/park owner etc is required to carry out a pre-delivery inspection and commissioning checks to ensure the integrity, correct and safe connection and operation of water, electrical and gas insulations. They must also carry out the siting in accordance with Normandy Holiday Home recommendations.
- Any Normandy Holiday Homes built to BS1647 must not be occupied for permanent residential use, but for leisure purposes only.
- At the time of sale the warranty form enclosed in the owners manual should be completed by the purchaser and supplier and then returned to Normandy Holiday Homes.
- Should the Holiday Home require work under the warranty the owner should contact the dealer/supplier/park owner etc directly and not Normandy Holiday Homes. The dealer/supplier/park owner will then fill in the Normandy Holiday Homes service form and on receipt of this form Normandy Holiday Homes will arrange one of its own engineers or an authorised Normandy Holiday Homes Dealer to attend to the fault.
- All rectifications carried out under this warranty will likewise and on like terms and conditions carry the benefit of the original warranty for the period of the unexpired term thereof.
Aftersales Support
Normandy Holiday Homes are a family run company with old fashioned values. We believe by looking after a customer that when they eventually look at replacing their Holiday Home they will keep coming back to us time after time. At Normandy we are very proud of our company and our reputation and pride ourselves on the personal touch of a small and progressive company. All our holiday homes face rigorous final checks before being dispatched.Normandy Holiday Homes Aftersales Service is there to provide support, assistance and information to our UK dealer/supplier/ park owner who should inspect and attend to the reported fault. If it is not possible to rectify the fault then communication should be made to Normandy Holiday Homes through the correct channels to get the most efficient and appropriate response.
Whilst every effort is made to rectify the product as soon as possible there are times when delays occur with factors beyond our control. These factors range from weather conditions to delays in getting parts from our suppliers. Where possible Normandy Holiday Homes will keep in regular contact to keep the dealer/supplier/park owner updated with the situation and forecast lead times of the engineers visit.
Before any additional equipment is fitted it is imperative that you do so after discussing this with your dealer/supplier/park owner as your warranty may be compromised if additional equipment is fitted incorrectly or without due regard to the current capabilities of the structure.
